Tote bag made of vintage "katazome" textile from Japan.
This vintage indigo textile, found in a small town in Nagano, Japan, has intricate patterns of Kiku (chrysanthemum) and Karakusa (arabesque) printed with “katazome,” a traditional stencil dye technique. The vintage cotton fabric is approximately 100 years old, was once part of a kimono dress. The tote is fully lined with ecru cotton fabric. Perfect, unique market tote for everyday use.
