Shibuichi Urushi Bowl

A beautifully crafted bowl from MEGURU, designed with a wide mouth for versatility and ease of use. This SHIBUICHI lacquered bowl blends tradition with modern functionality, offering a perfect balance of lightness and durability.

Made from Japanese horse chestnut (tochi) wood and finished with the distinctive SHIBUICHI URUSHI technique, the bowl’s exterior has a striking, metal-like appearance, while the interior is finished with a smooth coating of pure tin powder. Despite its sturdy look, the bowl is surprisingly lightweight, making it comfortable to hold even when serving hot dishes.
