Indigo-Dyed Yakusugi Cedar Beads Bracelet

$135.00

This exquisite bracelet is crafted from rare Yakusugi cedar, a sacred tree found only on Japan’s Yakushima Island. These ancient trees, some over 2,000 years old, thrive in a unique ecosystem and are protected from being cut down. The beads, made from naturally fallen Yakusugi cedar, are hand-dyed in traditional Yamato Indigo, giving each one a distinct hue that gracefully fades over time.

Strung on vibrant red “Kumihimo” silk cords, meticulously braided in Kyoto, the bracelet embodies both heritage and craftsmanship. Over time, the Kumihimo tips will naturally unravel into soft fringes, adding to its organic charm.

One size, unisex.

Each bead is 10mm in diameter. Bracelet size is adjustable approximately between 4.5 - 9 cm (1 3/4 - 3 1/2 inches) in inner diameter.
