The brown version of MEGURU’s fuki-urushi bowl lets the natural warmth of the wood come forward. The fuki-urushi technique—applying urushi lacquer in thin layers and wiping each one back—allows the grain to remain visible, giving each bowl a surface that is entirely its own.

Made in the Aizu region of Fukushima Prefecture, where lacquer craft has been practiced for generations, this bowl carries the hallmarks of the tradition: a tactile warmth, a quiet sheen, and a finish that deepens with years of use.
